וצל זה והגנה זו (לאומות) היא בחינת המקיף דלבונה{{הערה|תורה אור ד"ה ראה ריח בני}}, והביאור{{הערה|תורה אור ה' ג'}}: י"א סממני הקטורת הם י' ניצוצות המובלעים בקליפות, המקבלים חיותם מבחינת הלבונה. דמכיון שהיא "מקיף" ונעלית מהם שלא בערך אין הקליפות חשובות בעיניה לבטלם ולכן יכולות לינק ממנה חיותם. והוא כמשל המלך הרואה שממית בהיכלו ואינו טורח לסלקה. ורק כך יכולות הקליפות לקבל החיות מהקדושה (דרך אור מקיף) כי בפנימיות אין יכולים לקבל. דהיינו, כמו שהקליפות יכולות לקבל רק מהמקיף (כי אין קודש מתערב בחול).<br />
