== Establishment of the Yeshiva ==
The yeshiva was founded in the year [[5669]] after a group of robbers and murderers attacked one of the houses in the town and murdered seven of its residents.

The frightened townspeople sent a delegation to [[Rebbe Rashab]] and asked him to strengthen the spirits of the residents by establishing a branch of the Tomchei Tmimim yeshiva in the town.

Their proposal was accepted, and after [[Sukkot]] of the year [[5670]], the first group of students from the [[Tomchei Tmimim Lubavitch]] Yeshiva (from the group that studied in Babinovitch) moved there.

The opening of the yeshiva, along with the arrival of important Chassidic figures to live in the town, breathed new life and vitality among the residents.
