== History ==
On the eve of 15 Menachem Av 1986, the Rebbe held a farbrengen, and at its conclusion instructed to conduct a Chassidic farbrengen, giving Rabbi Dovid Raskin water and mezonos as participation in the farbrengen.

Unlike other similar occasions when the Rebbe requested farbrengens to be held, where they would distribute what the Rebbe gave and conduct a small farbrengen just to fulfill the obligation, after this sicha several bochurim from the 'Kvutza' decided to take responsibility for carrying out the Rebbe's request in the best possible way. They organized a large farbrengen for all Anash, ensuring to personally invite Crown Heights residents, and indeed there was great response and a large farbrengen was held.

R' Shneur Zalman Baumgarten wrote a report to the Rebbe about this farbrengen and the Rebbe responded: "May he continue to report good news in the future and I will mention at the Tziyun that it should also be with increase 'one who adds will be added to' in all interpretations." Following this response, several Anash wrote that they decided to organize a permanent committee that would arrange farbrengens on all Yomei D'Pagra and also hold Chassidic farbrengens the day after each of the Rebbe's farbrengens to inspire and bring the Rebbe's instructions into action. They also wrote that they planned to hold a large farbrengen the day after the 20th of Menachem Av farbrengen with the participation of Rabbonim and Mashpi'im. To this letter, the Rebbe responded: "Obviously - all mentioned above bli neder see Likkutei Torah end of Dibbur Hamaschil Roshei HaMatos seal of the maamar and seal of its explanation... Is it in actual practice?"

As a result, the Tmimim established a committee that ensured bringing the Rebbe's instructions from the farbrengens into action, and it received the name "Vaad Hamimush."

== Committee Activities ==
The committee held farbrengens, gatherings, and publicity to implement the Rebbe's instructions from farbrengens and sichos.

On 27 Elul 1986, the committee held a 'Torah, Tefillah, and Tzedakah gathering' to expedite the Didan Natzach of the seforim trial and for Moshiach Now. When the gathering's announcement was brought to the Rebbe, he responded: "Thank you for the good news and I will mention, bli neder, at the Tziyun for great success," and also gave out a bottle of mashke for the gathering.

When the Rebbe spoke in 1986 about the 'Aseh Lecha Rav' campaign, the committee members arranged special registration cards through which Chassidim reported to the Rebbe about fulfilling the instruction. Similarly in 1988 regarding 'Mivtza Hakhel', the committee issued special registration cards where Jews could be added and signed on accepting good resolutions.

Additionally, this committee created a wall board with the heading "HaMaaseh Hu Ha'Ikar" (Action is the Main Thing). This board is still hanging in 770 and many places worldwide, where new instructions from the Rebbe's latest farbrengen were posted each time.

For this purpose, the committee would send papers with the Rebbe's recent instructions to Chabad centers worldwide.

== Current Activities ==
Periodically, a bulletin titled "HaMaaseh Hu Ha'Ikar" is published in 770 and sent via email worldwide. This bulletin contains a summary of all the Rebbe's instructions related to that particular occasion found in the Sichos books from 1988 and onward. On Purim 2021, a compilation was published with the Rebbe's sicha regarding "Purim that falls on Shabbos."

These compilations are also uploaded to several Chabad websites.
